| ATTENDANCE: |
All students are required to attend not less than 75% of the lectures
delivered in each of the subjects in which they desire to be examined.
Students failing to do so may not be sent up for the Board/University
Examinations. |
2.
Each student absent without leave shall be fined
Re 1 per period or Rs. 3, per day. |
3.
Name of the student will be struck off from the
college rolls if he/she is absent from
the college for six consecutive days or total of ten days in a month
without approval of the leaves. |
4.
Re-admission will be granted to a student by the approval of the
Admission Committee after payment of the re-admission fee. Re-admission
will be allowed only once in a session. |

| CLASS
TESTS AND SEND-UP TESTS |
| The
students who remain absent from the CLASS TESTS/SEND-UP TESTS shall
be strictly punished, penalised and fined. |

| COLLEGE
UNIFORM |
Students
without college uniform are not allowed to attend their classes.
The defaulters will be strictly fined. |

| IDENTITY
CARD |
Students
are instructed in their own interest to procure the identity card
from the general office as it is compulsory for them to keep it
during the college hours. Those failing to do so, will be strictly
fined. |

| DISCIPLINE |
Maintaining
and observing discipline in the college is of paramomt importance
for the smooth running of academic work. Discipline begins with
the students respecting their teachers and abiding by all college
rules and regulations. A
Probation system has been introduced in the college for disciplinary
purposes. A student who repeatedly absents himself from the classes
without leave or fails to maintain a steady progress in his academic
work or is repeatedly reproved for indiscipline, rudeness, bad conduct
etc is placed on probation. |
1. Students found
guilty of using unfair means in the class Tests/Send-up Tests shall
be liable to serve disciplinary action which may include fine,
rustication/ expulsion from the college. |

2. Students are not
allowed to cycle on the college campus. |
3. Smoking is totally prohibited on the college
campus. |

|
Students who are admitted to Govt. Murray College are deemed to
have already pledged their obligation (on the application form) to
abide by the rules and regulations of the college. Govt. Murray
College students, are expected to manifest a responsible, caring and
understanding attitude towards others at all times. Honesty should be
shown by them in all their dealings. Dishonest behavior in examination
will result in irrevocable dismissal from the College. Other reasons
for dismissal might include: submission of false evidence, stealing,
willful destruction of equipment, furniture or property; physical
violence against other students, faculty or staff; possession and use
of drugs and arms, and ammunition, violation of civil rights of
others; organization of civil disturbance, non-payment of College dues
without valid reason and any act or gesture that may bring bad name
and bad reputation to the College and its members. Protracted absence,
without permission, from classes, laboratories and other schedule
instruction or practical classes could be a cause of dismissal as
well. |

| PRIZES |
At
the time of the annual prize distribution, the prizes are given
to students who achieve a distinction in each subject in their classes
during the full course of two years. In addition, the prizes are
for general proficiency, Declamation, ‘Recitation, Extempore
Speaking and Debating in English, Urdu and Punjabi and essay writing
contests. In games and athletics, colours are awarded to players
and athletes of outstanding merit. Sports prizes are awarded on
the Annual Sports Day. |
