The department of Economics at GMC is one of the oldest departments. However, its discontinuation took place for sometime in the past. The Department has achieved a good reputation within a short span of time after its revival. The academic staff is experienced and qualified. It is hoped that the department will be growing to a big size over the next few years. The Postgraduate Students receive considerable individual attention from the members of the staff. The students are rigorously trained in the research work, concerning the application of high-level economic analysis. The M.A. in Economics is a traditional programme, providing a firm background in the economic theory. Dr. A. R. Kamal (former Economic Advisor To The Govt. of Pakistan) did his Masters from this Department. |
