Government Murray College, Sialkot, offers teaching in various subjects. The combinations of these subjects have been given in this Prospectus.
Murray College Sialkot, is affiliated with the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Gujranwala for Higher Secondary classes. The courses of studies taught are in accordance with those, rules, which are notified by the Board from time to time. The prescribed books of these courses are published by the Punjab Text Book Board, Lahore. The examinations are held according to the schedule given by the Gujranwala Board. At present, the Intermediate students have to take the Board Examinations on yearly basis. The rules and regulations governing these examinations are notified by the Gujranwala Board from time to time. The admission seekers this year, can obtain a printed sheet from the College office, containing all the rules and regulations, notified by the Gujranwala Board.
For B.A./B.Sc honours and M.A./M.Sc. Classes, Govt. Murray College is affiliated with the Punjab University. The subjects offered and combinations allowed by the University are given in this Prospects. The courses of studies taught are notified in the Punjab University calendar, which is available from the Punjab University Book Shop, Anar Kali, Lahore. Schedule of Examinations for these classes are notified by the Punjab University. The B.A./B.Sc. students have to take the examination at the end of two years of studies. B.A/B.Sc honours students take exams at the end of third year and 4th year. The College immediately intimates the students about any change in the course of studies, notified by the P.U.
The M.A./M.Sc. Classes are examined by the Punjab University on yearly basis. Rules and regulations, governing the admission to these classes and their examinations can be had from the Students, Guidance and Counselling Office.
Regular monthly tests are held at the College, which are aimed at
regularizing the academic activities. At the end of each academic session, the send-up examinations are held. Various prizes are awarded to the brilliant students, in each discipline, on The Valedictory Day.
